I was so excited to partner up with Moroccanoil to try their Curl Collection. I love trying new products to see what will work. I tend to use different products in my hair every 2-3 months or so, cause I know my hair can become very used to the product and not work as well anymore.
What I love about Moroccanoil is well the fact that it is argan oil! Argan oil is a great treatment for damaged hair because it is high in fatty acids and vitamin E. I bleach my hair so it has become more damaged and dry from it , but I try to take care of it as best as I can with products like Moroccanoil.
I tried their whole Curl Collection and loved something about each product and a few became my favorite to use!
I loved my experience with trying all the products from Moroccanoil curl collection. I started with the Curl Enhancing Shampoo and Conditioner. What I love about these products, for one, is the smell. It smells so good! It also left my hair feeling so soft and light. With the shampoo, I massaged it into my scalp only and rinse and would fall on to the rest of my hair. I then use the conditioner and leave in for about one minute and rinse. When I got out of the shower, my hair would feel soft and it was very easy to comb through with no tangles.
Curl Cleansing Conditioner
For my co-wash days, I would use the Curl Cleansing Conditioner. I would leave it in my hair for 5 minutes to absorb and rinse. It helps with moisture balance on my scalp, cleanses hair, and makes it shiny and detangled. It is a one step process in replacement of the shampoo and conditioner.
I used this product after washing my hair and before styling. However, you can use it on dry hair also. It provides conditioning, styling, and finishing benefits for healthy looking hair styles. When I apply to my wet hair, I would apply the treatment mid length to the ends. It made my hair feel more soft, manageable, and control the frizz.
To style my hair, I tried a few different products from the curl collection. I first tried, Intense Curl Cream. it is a deep leave in conditioner for low maintenance curls. I apply a generous amount into my damp hair and I comb through and scrunch. What I love about this product is that it really defines my curls, leaving it looking smooth and shiny, but not crunchy. It is also weather-safe and since my hair is bleached, I love to use products against the weather. I found the Intense Curl Cream to be similar to the Curl Defining Cream, but the Intense Curl gives me the moisture my curls need, and a natural-looking finish and texture.
like I just mentioned , similar to the Intense Curl Cream, but less intense . For me, personally a leave in conditioner works better for the type of curls I have because my hair gets so dry. I need all the moisture I can get and didn’t get much with the Curl Defining Cream. However, it does help a lot with frizz!
I’ve never really been a fan of using mousse in my hair. Every product of mousse that I have tried have always left my hair very crunchy and stringy. Moroccanoil Curl Control Mousse doesn’t leave your hair crunchy! Which is a plus! It is very lightweight, so I felt like I needed to use a lot on my curls and for me I like a little that will go a long way so I don’t use too much product in my hair.
This is my absolute favorite ! Since my hair is curly, obviously locking in moisture is a huge problem and my hair tends to always look dry! With Curl Re-energizing Spray, I can spray it in my hair for a quick refresher making it look shiny, and curls Become more defined, like I just washed it . It brings back the bounce! I use it on my slept on hair the next day and my Curls look like Curls!
I loved all the products that I tried and would definitely purchase the products and I recommend all my curly hair women to try!
